Toes Burnt to a Crisp, Foot Bone Anatomy Revealed

There is no backstory with this photo, but to state the obvious, it’s a photo of a person with both toes burnt to a crisp. The burns are so severe, one could study bone anatomy of the feet from clearly revealed bone structures.

The majority of damage is concentrated to the toes and diminishes quite significantly further up the foot. Massive burning force must have been applied to the toes, but was very topical, as everything from ankles upwards appears to be unaffected.

Funny that it burned both toes in virtually the same manner. I was thinking electricity, but how do you so consistently and evenly electrocute toes on both feet?
